Endeavour Academies

Joining our Trust

Joining our Trust

Thank you for your interest in our trust. Endeavour Academies is currently a small trust, but we would like to grow and aim to welcome new members.

We are keen to hear from you if you are considering joining a trust and think we might be good fit. We are looking for schools who share our aims and vision and are committed to making a real difference to the life chances of students from the Tees Valley and beyond.

Starting the conversation

Joining a trust can be an exciting journey for a school and we think we have a lot to offer. The first thing to do is to get in touch and start the conversation. We promise that there will be no 'hard sell' and we do not have a prescribed way of doing things. Let's start off by exploring what we can offer each other and take it from there. If you would like to open a discussion, get in touch!

Informal Collaborations

As we get to know each other better, we will look to collaborate on areas where there could be mutual benefit. There are several ways we can share our expertise and work together on tailor-made partnerships. Informal collaborations recently have included:

  • Supporting transitions from Year 6 into 7 through Year 6 and 7 teachers working together.
  • Providing specialist teaching and facilities for our partner schools.
  • Training opportunities for teachers, middle managers, and senior leaders.
  • CPD in the trust's OPTIC teaching and learning model.
  • Summer school provision for Year 6 students from our partner primary schools.
  • Academic extension in maths, MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) and English such as our 'Greater Depth Maths Project,' 'Year 5 Language Project' and 'Mandarin'.
  • Supporting with partner school's website development and ICT infrastructure.
  • Exploring central services options (finance, HR, buildings/estates etc)

    Associate Memberships

We understand that joining a trust is a big decision and not one that any Headteacher or Governing Body will take lightly. Following preliminary explorations and informal collaborations between schools and our trust, those schools who do decide to take the relationship further are encouraged to join as 'associate members'. We believe this option gives greater peace of mind for our partner schools and an opportunity to bring certainty that joining our trust is the right decision for your organization.

We currently have one associate member, Hopefields School. Hopefields is a small 11-18 school for pupils with social, emotional and/or health needs. They offer alternative provision for young people who are hard to reach, hard to place or at risk of exclusion. Macmillan Academy developed a relationship with Hopefields which has been mutually beneficial to both schools. Hopefields support Macmillan students through their specialist provision and offer the academy general advice around alternative provision. Endeavour Academies Trust central services provide additional capacity to Hopefields, whilst Macmillan Academy is supporting the development of Hopefields' curriculum, especially in mathematics. This is an example of a successful recent partnership with scope for further strengthening and development in the future.

    Full Trust Membership

When the time is right, associate members will be given the option to join our trust as full members. Before formalizing membership, a process of due diligence will be carried out.

We have experience in dealing with academies, local authority schools, single academy trusts and specialist schools so whether you are already an academy or need support with conversion we can help and will confidently guide you along the process.
