Having been knocked out last year by the eventual winners (Conyers) in the County Cup, the boys had to play them again in the first round in an exciting contest between the current holders and previous champions in 2024. The team were clearly hungry for revenge and put in their best performance of the season.
A first-half hat trick from midfielder Jaydon B and a composed finish from Jaden B, put Macmillan in a 4-0 lead at halftime. The boys matched the clinical performance in the second half, scoring a further 3 goals with a brace from Shannon A and a superb long-range free kick from Bobby M to take a comfortable 7-2 win. The teamwork from the boys was outstanding throughout, with every player making valuable contributions.
They now await a quarter-final fixture against either Dyke House or English Martyrs.
