Easter Revision and Activities

May 7, 2025

Over the Easter holidays, we hosted a comprehensive revision programme for Year 11 and Post-16 students, aimed at supporting their preparation for the upcoming exam season. The initiative was open to all students and covered every qualification area, ensuring no subject was left behind.

Throughout the two-week break, students engaged in targeted revision sessions led by dedicated staff who volunteered their time to help reinforce key knowledge and exam skills. The sessions were tailored to address both core content and individual student needs, offering a valuable opportunity for focused, uninterrupted study.

In addition to academic support, the programme recognised the importance of student wellbeing. Each day, students were offered free meals to ensure they stayed fuelled and focused. A range of fitness and mindfulness activities were also available—including JustDance! and yoga sessions—designed to help students manage stress and maintain a healthy balance between work and rest.

The response from students and families has been overwhelmingly positive. Many students commented on how much more confident and prepared they feel as a result of the extra support.

We’re incredibly proud of the commitment shown by our students and grateful to the staff who made this possible. The Easter revision programme is just one example of how we continue to go above and beyond to help every student succeed.

We are grateful to Middlesbrough Council who supported our Easter activities through their Holiday Activity Fund.  It was great to welcome the Mayor Chris Cook and his colleagues when they came to have a look at what we were doing.
