Macmillan Academy Students Hit the Slopes in Claviere, Italy!
A lucky group of 27 students and staff from Macmillan Academy set off on an unforgettable 8-day ski trip to Claviere, Italy, last week. Nestled in the stunning Italian Alps, Claviere boasts amazing slopes and breathtaking scenery – the perfect setting for an action-packed adventure in outdoor learning.
From complete beginners to experienced skiers, everyone had the chance to develop their skills under the guidance of expert instructors. For many, it was their first time on skis, and they absolutely smashed it, picking up new techniques and growing in confidence throughout the week. Those with more experience pushed themselves even further, taking on steeper runs and perfecting their technique.
But the trip wasn’t just about skiing – it was also about making memories, forming friendships, and working together as a team. Helping each other out on the slopes, celebrating achievements, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way made the experience even more special.
Away from the slopes, students had the chance to soak up the atmosphere of the beautiful alpine village, enjoying local food, exploring the area, and experiencing a bit of Italian culture. Evenings were packed with fun activities like quizzes, team challenges, and social events, giving everyone a chance to relax after a full day of skiing.
With students already asking when they can go again, it’s safe to say the trip was a massive success. Watch this space for more exciting outdoor learning adventures!
