Macmillan Academy were excited to welcome back the STEM Roadshow, funded by BAE Systems, the Royal Air Force, and the Royal Navy.

Over the past 20 years, this inspiring programme has reached more than 1.3 million pupils, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM subjects across the UK.  Designed to ignite interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths, the roadshow offers a highly interactive experience that demonstrates how scientific and technological concepts apply in real-world scenarios.  This year’s theme focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI), brought to life through music and creativity. Students explored how AI can be used to generate songs and music videos — with help from a robot dog named Lexi!

Our Year 7 and 8 students took part in the engaging one-hour session, enjoying a hands-on and fun introduction to the possibilities of AI. Take a look at our short film to see the highlights!
