The Foundation has recently been working with The Junction Multibank charity to support the Macmillan DofE and Outdoor and Adventure Learning programmes.

We set an ambitious target to engage the entire Year 9 cohort in the Bronze Award, alongside students in Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form working towards the Silver and Gold Awards.

Adventures require equipment, and as such, we are excited to support our young people and their families by often providing full equipment free of charge. As a result, uptake has been fantastic with students feeling comfortable and confident to volunteer.

The donation of waterproofs, rucksacks, and many other essential items has made a significant difference. This project is undoubtedly enabling more young people to get involved. While developing vital life skills, they also have the opportunity to explore nature and the world beyond Middlesbrough.
