Macmillan Post 16

Macmillan Academy Post 16 is a large, vibrant sixth form with an emphasis on encouraging each student’s personal development and academic success. We offer a great range of A level and level 3 vocational courses, as well as GCSE English/Maths resits and a level 2 option.

 
Being a sixth former is an exciting time for students and we offer many opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills, attend trips and visits, gain work experience and of course to plan for higher education, training and employment.  We offer one to one career planning, career talks, resources, links to employers and careers events.

Post 16 students have their own facilities, including purpose-built study centre, common room and large café. There is also a student union and a team of senior students who run it.  Post 16 students and staff work together to foster a real sense of community and mutual respect. Teachers are friendly, experienced and real experts in their subjects.
